We love pieces designed by Margaretha Ley for Escada, but we especially love this rare vintage Escada Couture romper! This unique black wool suit style romper is the perfect day dress alternative.

There is a sheer black built in top under a faux wrap style bodice with a deep v-neck fastened at the waist by 4 gold and rhinestone "E" monogram vertical buttons.

From the front, this just looks like a wrap style dress, but once you lift the outer fabric, fabulous shorts are revealed underneath. There are shoulder pads for structure and vertical darts at the waist band that accentuate and flatter the waistline.

Each cuff has 3 gold rhinestone buttons and there is a metal zipper down center back seam. 100% New Wool. Made in Germany. Labeled size 38 , and we estimate this would best fit a modern 8. Please use the measurements as a guide for the best fit!

In excellent condition- Originally had cuffs and collar that were removable and not present. A few rhinestones missing from buttons.

Excellent condition. Other than a few rhinestones missing from a few buttons, there are black buttons all along the inner lining of the collar and cuffs, which indicates that there were originally collar/cuffs that are sadly, missing.
